Weather Stations

I'm once again sending data to Weather Underground. You can see daily and weekly graphs, and many others.

• Old WeatherLink (Weather Monitor II, etc)
  • techref.txt -- a well-written document covering how to talk to the WeatherLink device via RS232.
  • appendix.txt -- the appendices for above.
  • faq.txt -- FAQ list.
  • ccitt.h -- data table for use in calculating CCITT-CRC16.
  • thitable.h -- data table for calculating Temp-Hum Index.
• Vantage Pro
  • vtechref.txt -- a hodge-podge of firmware source code and very few programming notes. I'm told by Davis support that the full-blown technical reference (hopefully along the lines of the one for the old WeatherLink) is behind schedule. I hope they're still actually working on it.
• 1-Wire
  • The PC interface on the Vantage Pro stopped working a long time ago. The wireless was very unreliable for a long time, too. Davis offered a fix-it-up kit that mostly fixed the wireless, but without the PC interface (which was $150, partly because you have to buy the software, too), it's not much use to me. I'm using 1-wire sensors now to record weather data.
